After a two-hour coach journey from Bari airport, we arrived at the Grand hotel which was our base for the next for 2 nights, the hotel is situated just 10 minutes from the town centre. A refined building, characterized by an elegant atmosphere, Art Nouveau windows, stunning paintings crystal chandeliers and wrought iron canopies. The 4-star hotel was completely renovated in 2012, which has brought the stuccoes and Baroque-inspired iconography back to their former glory. Unfortunately, on our arrival they appeared completely understaffed and worst of all had ran out of Gin, other than that it was a good base for our next few days.
