Friday 27^th May, another early start and we were back on the coach again for a day’s sightseeing. Conveniently situated between Martina Franca and Alberobella, in the valle d’Itria, lies the beautiful hill top village of Locorotondo, a stopping off point for us on route to Alberobello. Like many of the villages and towns in this part of Italy it is a maze of cobbled streets lined with historical buildings and whitewashed old houses. We only had time for a coffee and a quick look around the market before we set off again en route for Alberobello and the fairytale trilli dwellings.
